91ÁÔÆæ

The 91ÁÔÆæ Integration and Networking Committee aims to support wide and effective participation in molecular life science research and teaching by scientists from across the countries of the 91ÁÔÆæ area, particularly via the role of learned Societies that belong to 91ÁÔÆæ. To this end, it encourages collaboration between 91ÁÔÆæ Constituent Societies and with 91ÁÔÆæ, it advises developing or rejuvenating 91ÁÔÆæ Constituent Societies on 91ÁÔÆæ opportunities, and it assists researcher communities that want to establish a molecular life science Society in their country.

Activities of the committee include visits to understand the situation and challenges faced by particular communities in different 91ÁÔÆæ countries so as to help formulate advice on Society development or to discuss intensification of the Society’s activities and cooperation with 91ÁÔÆæ.

The committee also works with other committees and working groups of 91ÁÔÆæ across several activities, particularly those addressing challenges faced by scientists from disadvantaged countries and by young scientists. For example, it encourages 91ÁÔÆæ programmes such as Ukrainian Fellowships for research visits to other countries in the 91ÁÔÆæ area, assists with Education workshops in certain 91ÁÔÆæ countries, and oversees the 91ÁÔÆæ Congress Mathias Sprinzl scheme to support Congress participation of researchers from Hinari (Research4Life) status 91ÁÔÆæ countries.

A new initiative launched in 2022 is aiming to establish a community of 91ÁÔÆæ Member Society Representatives (individuals nominated by 91ÁÔÆæ Constituent Societies to engage with other Societies and 91ÁÔÆæ) across all 91ÁÔÆæ countries – with an online space provided by a 91ÁÔÆæ Network room (e.g.to enable sharing of learning Society matters between 91ÁÔÆæ Societies), and an in-person gathering at the 91ÁÔÆæ Congress.
