Postdoctoral Fellowship in Systems Physiology at Ribeirão Preto School of Nursing, University of São Paulo (EERP-USP)
Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil
A postdoctoral fellowship is available at the Ribeirão Preto School of Nursing, University of São Paulo (EERP-USP), Brazil, for the FAPESP-funded projectÌýInteraction of the Anti-Inflammatory Reflex and Energy Metabolism in SepsisÌý(Process 2024/16792-8). This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career researcher interested in integrative physiology, inflammation, metabolism, and experimental sepsis.
The selected candidate will join the Laboratory of Physiology and contribute to studies investigating the interaction between inflammatory processes, energy metabolism, and thermoregulation in animal models of sepsis. The project involves in vivo rodent experiments, lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced systemic inflammation, cecal ligation and puncture (CLP), physiological monitoring, collection and processing of biological samples, biochemical and immunological analyses, data analysis, and scientific writing.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Physiology or a related field, in accordance with FAPESP requirements, and have experience in experimental animal studies and related laboratory techniques. Experience with sepsis models, inflammatory and metabolic analyses, and statistical/data analysis tools will be considered an advantage.
