Digital Marketing Manager – 91ÁÔÆæ Press
91ÁÔÆæ seeks a full-time Digital Marketing Manager to join .
91ÁÔÆæ Press is the publishing imprint of the four journals owned by 91ÁÔÆæ —The 91ÁÔÆæ Journal, 91ÁÔÆæ Letters, Molecular Oncology and 91ÁÔÆæ Open Bio — and offers the same high standards of peer review and publishing ethics across all its titles. The 91ÁÔÆæ Press journals offer the molecular life sciences community a place to showcase their work, while supporting their community.
The Digital Marketing Manager will report to the 91ÁÔÆæ Press Publisher and will support the 91ÁÔÆæ Press Publisher and the Managing Editors to promote the journals on digital platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Planning, creating, and implementing paid campaigns on Google Ads and the social media
- Monitoring the success of each campaign and readjusting keywords or other parameters, including demographics and geo-targeting, to improve outreach
- Remarketing
- Email marketing
- Budgeting for the paid campaigns
- SEO and SEM
- Keyword research
- Reporting on campaign performance and retargeting as necessary
- Monitoring website performance through Adobe Analytics
- Assisting with organic social media posting and developing a social media calendar
- Developing promotionalÌýmaterial as requested
- Actively researching, proposing and developing newÌýdigitalÌýmarketing strategies
- Collaborating with the Marketing Manager at Wiley onÌýdigital marketing initiatives
- Attending meetings related to digital marketing strategy
- Helping out at the booth at major conferences if necessary.
Essential requirements
- Degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, or other relevant fields.
- Proven experience in Digital Marketing and Communications
- Previous experience working in a scientific organization
- Excellent command of the English language
- Skills in graphics.
This is a full-time, permanent position. The candidate can be based in either the UK, Germany or Spain, and can work remotely or make use of our offices in Cambridge (UK), or Heidelberg (Germany). Some traveling will be required.

Treasury Coordinator – 91ÁÔÆæ Treasury
The not-for-profit 91ÁÔÆæ (91ÁÔÆæ) seeks a Treasury Coordinator to join the small 91ÁÔÆæ Treasury team.
Role Summary
91ÁÔÆæ Treasury is a small department at 91ÁÔÆæ. The Treasury deals with all aspects of 91ÁÔÆæâ€™ finances and comprises the Treasury Manager and the Deputy Treasury Manager. The work done in The Treasury is under the direction of the Honorary Treasurer, Professor Frank Michelangeli.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination of finance email:
– Check emails receive a response in a timely manner
– Flag complicated queries or where possible resolve them
Preparation of bills on Xero:
– Prepare payments for expenses reimbursement, goods and services invoices, prizes
– Prepare bursaries and other grants on Xero
Liaison and coordination with Fellowship and Advanced Courses Committee administrators:
– Coordinate with committee administrators to ensure a smooth processing, and correct payment of grants
– Check payments are valid and have approval
– Deal with queries from grantees
Processing of receipts:
– Membership societies subscriptions
– Recharges in relation to Advanced Courses
Assist with administration of Finance Committee meetings and other Treasury events
– Assist with the administration of 91ÁÔÆæ Treasury meeting including arranging meetings and booking facilities
– Travel to European countries to attend 91ÁÔÆæ Treasury and other meetings and events
Other responsibilities:
– Duties may evolve with time, according to requirements of 91ÁÔÆæ.
– Any other reasonable duties as requested by line manager.
91ÁÔÆæ is looking for someone who is:
– Diligent and reliable
– Educated to degree level or equivalent
– Experience of accounting systems is beneficial, ideally Xero, although training will be given
– Confident working independently without supervision and has good time management skills
– Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
– Confident liaising with a range of people
– Accurate with excellent attention to detail
– Experience of project administration would be a benefit.

The Editor in Chief should preferably be located within Europe and will receive a competitive retainer for their work.

Postdoctoral Fellow in RNA Biology & Functional Genomics — National Cancer Institute (NIH), Frederick, MD, USA
A fully funded postdoctoral position is available in the Gonatopoulos-Pournatzis Lab (Functional Transcriptomics Section, RNA Biology Laboratory) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), NIH, in Frederick, Maryland. The lab develops and applies cutting-edge functional genomics and CRISPR screening approaches to dissect the regulation and functional impact of alternative splicing in cancer and other biological contexts. Ongoing work integrates exon-level perturbations with bulk and single-cell transcriptomics to uncover splicing-dependent mechanisms and therapeutic vulnerabilities.
The position offers a highly collaborative and multidisciplinary environment with access to state-of-the-art core facilities and strong opportunities for scientific independence and career development. A fully funded postdoctoral position is available in the Laboratory of Molecular Neuroscience led by Dr. Andrija Sente at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology in Dortmund, Germany. The position is available from January 2027 and is initially limited to 2 years. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, newly established research team with access to state-of-the-art core facilities for light and electron microscopy, flow cytometry, and mass spectrometry.
Project & Responsibilities:
The researcher will investigate the cell biological pathways underlying the assembly of multimeric membrane proteins using CRISPR-based genetic screens, as well as mechanistic dissection using techniques from molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry and structural biology.

Predoctoral Position in Biochemistry, Metabolism and Cell Biology
Institution: Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona), Spain
The Neurolipid Group at UIC Barcelona is seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join a research project investigating the cellular and metabolic functions of Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 1C (CPT1C), a protein involved in neuronal adaptation to metabolic stress and increasingly linked to cancer metabolism.
The project, entitled “Functional and mechanistic study of CPT1C in neuronal and glioblastoma models: metabolic regulation, Warburg phenotype and protein interaction networksâ€, will explore the role of CPT1C in glioblastoma metabolism and in the nervous system through the identification and validation of novel protein interaction networks.
The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary research environment combining biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, metabolism and neurobiology. Experimental approaches may include cell culture, CRISPR-based models, molecular biology techniques, protein interaction studies, metabolic assays, microscopy and bioenergetic analyses.
Your profile
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Pharmacy, Chemistry or a related discipline
• Strong academic record and motivation for research
• Interest in metabolism, neurobiology and cell biology
• Previous experience in cell culture, molecular biology, protein analysis, microscopy, metabolism, proteomics or bioenergetics is advantageous
