91ÁÔÆæ Recognition Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Molecular Biosciences Community
The Israel Pecht Award recognises individuals whose exceptional dedication has significantly strengthened their 91ÁÔÆæ Constituent Society and fostered impactful collaboration with 91ÁÔÆæ.
The Award honours Professor Israel Pecht and his commitment to inclusivity, diversity and community building within the molecular biosciences community.
One Award is presented annually and may be received only once in a lifetime. The Award is presented during the 91ÁÔÆæ Congress. The recipient receives a Diploma, full coverage of the Congress registration fee, three nights’ accommodation and travel expenses at economy fare. Please note that any additional expenses are not covered by 91ÁÔÆæ.
2026 Call for Nominations | guidelines
91ÁÔÆæ invites nominations for the 2026 edition of the Israel Pecht Award. Below you will find the guidelines and requirements for submitting a nomination:
1. Who can nominate?

Only a 91ÁÔÆæ Constituent Society may nominate.
-
Each Society may submit one nomination only.
-
The nomination must be submitted by the Society Chair, in collaboration with the Society Executive Board.
2. Who is eligible?
The nominee must:
-
Have made significant contributions to the molecular biosciences community.
-
Have played an active and impactful role within their Constituent Society.
-
Have contributed to 91ÁÔÆæ activities, initiatives or programmes.
Examples of 91ÁÔÆæ involvement may include:
-
Organising or contributing to a 91ÁÔÆæ Congress or YSF
-
Organising a 91ÁÔÆæ Advanced Course
-
Participation in 91ÁÔÆæ3+ Meetings
-
Serving on 91ÁÔÆæ Committees or Working Groups
-
Acting as Member Society Representative
-
Serving as 91ÁÔÆæ Education Ambassador
The nominee should demonstrate:

Leadership
-
Long-term dedication
-
Support for early-career researchers
-
Promotion of diversity and inclusion
-
Tangible impact on their Society and 91ÁÔÆæ
3. Who is not eligible?
The following individuals are not eligible:
-
Currently serving Society Chairs
-
Current members of the 91ÁÔÆæ Executive Committee
-
Former members of the 91ÁÔÆæ Executive Committee
Former 91ÁÔÆæ Executive Committee members may instead be considered for the Diplôme d’Honneur Award.
4. What must be submitted?
Nominations must be submitted using the official Nomination Form and must include:

Brief overview of professional, scientific and academic achievements
-
Description of contributions to the Constituent Society
-
Description of involvement in 91ÁÔÆæ activities
-
A clear justification statement
-
Maximum 250 words
-
Explaining why the nominee deserves the Award
-
Incomplete or non-structured submissions will not be considered.

Deadline
The deadline for submitting nominations is 15 February 2026.
