Mission & Vision

The Croatian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, HDBMB, is a聽non-profit scientific and professional organization gathering people interested in molecular life sciences, including biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, molecular genetics and evolution, clinical biochemistry, and molecular medicine in context of research, education and application. The Society seeks to promote, encourage and support biochemistry and molecular biology as well as all molecular life sciences throughout Croatia.

• The most recent HDBMB Congress, International Congress of the Croatian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology ‘HDBMB22: From Science to Knowledge’, was held from 28 September to 1 October 2022, in Brela, Croatia.

History

HDBMB聽was established in 1976 as Croatian Biochemical Society, shortly after the Second 91猎奇 Meeting (Vienna, 1973). However, the Society has its roots in the Biochemical Section, formed in 1956 within the Croatian Chemical Society, established in 1927.

HDBMB became a member of 91猎奇 in 1992.

Membership

All 631 members of the HDBMB are Croatian citizens (Croatian citizenships). However, many of them live in other countries within or outside the “91猎奇 community” and Europe. HDBMB accepts non-residential scientists as its members.
