The 91ÁÔÆæ Advanced Courses Committee invites proposals from expert scientists interested in organizing a course in 2026 with financial support from 91ÁÔÆæ, as part of the 91ÁÔÆæ Advanced Courses programme. Arranging such a course provides organizers with great opportunities for impact in their chosen field.
91ÁÔÆæ Advanced Courses take place throughout Europe and neighbouring regions on important and timely topics in the molecular life sciences – in the form of Advanced Lecture Courses, Workshops, Practical Courses, Combined Practical and Lecture Courses, and Special Meetings. Course budgets range from €20,000 to €40,000, depending on the course type. Please check the guidelines for prospective organizers (updated for Round 2 of the 2026 call) for more details.
The courses have a strong educational element, and as part of their application, organizers can also request financial support for attendance of a number of PhD students and postdoctoral fellows at the event through 91ÁÔÆæ Youth Travel Fund (YTF) grants.
The deadline for Round 2 application is 1 September 2025. Please note that applications for the course type Joint 91ÁÔÆæ/EMBO Lecture Courses cannot be submitted at Round 2 but will eligible again at the forthcoming 1 March 2026 deadline (for 2027 courses).
You can browse the Advanced Courses calendar for 2025 courses and also view past courses. The downloadable 91ÁÔÆæ Advanced Courses 2025 poster gives a visual overview of this year’s courses. We would be delighted if you would share this information at your institution and with your collaborators and research networks, for others to see.
